TLQ Series Telescopic Linear Guides

The TLQ ( New Telerace PLUS ) Series is a high capacity telescopic rail assembly where the stroke is approximately equal to the overall length of the rail assembly.   This series is constructed with cold drawn steel rails that are hardened to provide long life even in equipment with highly repetitive motion.  The bearing system consists of large cam roller wheels.   The rails are treated with the innovative Rollon NOX treatment for high depth nitride hardening and with black oxidation, assuring long lifetime without wear and good corrosion resistance.

Tolerant to Dirt and Debris

The large double row ball bearing cam roller wheels will tolerate contaminates better than ball based designs. An innovative rail-wheel (or roller) interface will purge contaminates from the raceways.

The 28 and 43 in the part number indicates the overall height of the assembly cross-section in millimeters. Basically the 43 series is the larger heavier duty version of the two sizes. It has a high load carrying capacity.

Each telescopic assembly consists of three main structural pieces, two slider assemblies on each side of the “I” beam shaped intermediate element. The slider assemblies for the TLQ product have drilled and tapped holes for easy attachment.

TLQ Product Technical Data

  • Slider Assembly Cam Roller Wheel Rolling Elements
  • Carbon Steel Rails Components with Nitride Hardened Raceways
  • Black Oxide Surface with Oil Impregnation
  • Satin Black Surface Finish Color
  • Fully Telescoping Assembly (i.e.,100%)
  • Typically used in pairs (one on each side)

Typical Lead-time is 7-9 weeks for small quantities

Size 28

The “F” in the part number indicates that this product has drilled and metric tapped holes for M5 fasteners for all slider assemblies on each side.

Lubricant Requirements

Periodically applying a small amount of an NLGI #2 lithium-based grease with no solid additives such as MoS2 (molybdenum disulfide) along the rail ball track is recommended for quiet operation and long life.

Additional Telescopic Drawing Details

TLQ slides offer the unique possibility to easily customize the actual stroke H to individual needs. This is obtained by repositioning the slider distance “A” for “Fixed sliders” and distance “B” for “Mobile sliders” , with different distances than indicated on this page.

Just keep in mind that distance A is always bigger than B, to maximize the load capacity. By reducing distances between A and B the total stroke increases but the Load capacity decreases, conversely increasing the distance between A and B the total stroke is reduced, while the load capacity increases.
