For any type of moving vehicle application the dynamics of the terrain over which the vehicle travels has a significant influence on the bearings supporting the load. Shock and vibration can easily damage the bearing raceways and surfaces. We have experience in handling these specific applications.

Telescopic Product Example #1
Mobile Battery Systems
More vehicles now and in the future will have support systems requiring electric energy. Many on board battery packs need to be secured during vehicle operation but replace or recharged after a specific number operating hours. These battery packs tend to be heavy and require special handling such as low friction telescopic linear guide systems.
Traditional telescopic slides have small support bearings and are unable to support the load adequately. Over time the shock and vibration eventually damage the raceways to the extent of rendering the slide non-functional.
We have overcome these issues with special geometric features that unload the cam roller bearings in the closed state.
Slide Operation
In this particular application the slides are to remain in a closed position until maintenance or servicing is required. A considerable amount of time may pass before the slides are opened. When required the drawer system must open with little effort. Reliability is extremely important.

Mobile Electric Generating Units
More vehicles now and in the future will have support systems requiring electric energy. Many on board generators need to be secured during transport and deployed once they reach their destination.

Long Travel Fully Telescopic Slides
Military vehicles travel very rugged terrain and sometimes encounter IEDs along their path. It’s important that once they reach their destination the equipment is still serviceable. Our corrosion resistant fully stainless steel telescopic slide systems are used in many of these vehicles.
This is a fully telescopic slide. The stroke out is roughly equal to the overall length of the closed assembly.
